I’m so excited to announce a new service Taken will provide: LifeStyle Children Photography. The aim is capture the beauty of your child/children/best friends daily lives, as seen by you, candidly captured. Many of you know that I have three kids, and as a photographer I try to ensure that I capture the daily grind often. As I have shared these images on Facebook, the images have always received lots of postive feedback. It seems that these unscripted moments resonated with you too. So now, Taken offers a limited number of LifeStyle sessions. Learn more about the pricing… but first, see my family’s personal story told in photographs of the last 3 years (hence the watermark changes).
This beautiful wedding marked many “firsts” in my wedding photography career: Taken’s first Jewish ceremony, first sunset outside wedding, first Forsyth wedding, and lastly first wedding with Simply Savannah Events. The evening was breathtaking. Yliana was stunning and Nick was quite dashing. Overall the evening was too brief to absorb the grandeur of it all. So blessed that Yliana and Nick chose Taken to be their photographer to capture these once-in-a-lifetime images. It’s been awhile since I and Derek Scearcé shot this wedding. So glad that the charm of a wedding day endures so that I can share even it’s a tad belated. Kayla and Nick, thank you SO much for sharing your wedding day with me. It was a blast getting to know your friends and family while witnessing the jokes and tender moments that occurred throughout your day. You have a wide community of support that surrounds you. I can’t wait to watch your family blossom. Venue: Georgia Southern Botanical Garden Day of Coordinator: Posh, Petals, and Pearls

A couple of weeks ago I had the sheer pleasure of crafting the cover image for Pooler Magazine of celebrity hairstylist, Dennis Stokely. Dennis knows his way around a studio set. Having been on more shoots than I could count I was schooled people – schooled! Though I was the master mind behind the lighting and scene, Dennis took lead on the camera angle and pose. We were a duo that danced a snazzy dance. Next week I’ll share more images from Josh Reddick‘s session for the Effingham Magazine. Hugs! Alicja
Happy Belated Halloween. A mother of three and I do all things late. So falling in line is posting images of my kiddos’ Halloween portraits :) Alia, my oldest was Cinderella; my youngest, Ava, was Tinkerbell. Yep, Taken jumps in the deep end and crafts child portraiture too. Thanks for letting me share! Hugs, Alicja
This past Saturday Kayla and Nick were married at the Georgia Southern Botanical Garden. It was SUCH a beautiful venue, a true reflection of the Bride’s beauty and charm. I can’t wait to dive deeper in the editing process; to tide you over, here are a few sneaks. Also, see Kayla’s bridal portraits. Hugs, Alicja
This past Saturday, beautiful Kayla walked down the aisle to her awaiting charming best friend, Nick. The evening was held at Georgia Southern Botanical Garden. Those images are being culled and edited as I type. However, what I’m so excited to share with you is Kayla’s bridal portraits! Wearing a beautiful gown from La’ren Bell, Kayla was stunning. Together we ventured to Bestheda Academy and enjoyed the serenity. It’s been SO difficult to keep these under wraps. So excited to share! Hugs, Alicja
The Wednesday before this intimate wedding, a dear friend Derek (you have seen our work together) passed my name to a wedding planner that was in need of photographer. Only 7 days before they were told of this celebration. I’m so blessed to have gotten to partner with Morgan Gallo Events, but more importantly witness love, and commitment without the rush of crazy schedules. Them, me, at Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum – I was in heaven. A BIG thanks to Morgan for trusting Taken. It was our first time working together and I can’t wait for the next! Last, but by no means least, thank you SO much to Melinda, my amazing light assistant that would – I think – jumped through clown-infested hoops to give me the light I need ;) Hugs, Alicja
Casey and Eric traveled from Little Rock to Savannah to partake in wedding festivities of a family member and continue to plan their own destination wedding. It was such a joy to craft breathtaking images of these two. I have to admit I was super nervous going into it. Casey raved about how much she LOVES Taken’s work… I was nervous as all get out! To the nerves add Sandy, though not a major threat to GA, she was casting some major clouds and winds our way. I was worried about lighting… so much so I tried to convince Casey and Eric to move the shoot to entirely downtown. “Nope, we don’t have a beach,” was her answer and so charged forward to Tybee Island. I praise Jesus that I listened to His voice in my heart that told me to take the LED light… which I never used on a shoot and had for about a year. SO glad. That thing lit all these shots :) Beautiful <3 Casey and Eric, your shoot was SO special to me. Thank you for your trust and donation to Soaring Wings Ranch :) Lastly, but no ways least, thank you for filling our tummy with great food and hearts with memorable moments. Hugs, Alicja
