Leah and Michael were married today. The music was the best I’ve ever experienced at a wedding. Full choir, swing/jazz (forgive my ignorance on this one) band, violinist, pianist, and more. Never have I experienced music so varied, and masterfully performed. So it was only fitting to have a music sheet as the background of their ring shots. Big props to Ryan, Taken’s other main photog, who thought of the idea! Great team :) Congrats Leah and Michael!
At this very moment (well not if you are reading this like a week from now) I’m editing this very lovely bride’s wedding… and baking …. and fighting off the temptation to blog the last two weddings and newborn shoot I have yet shared. Back to editing!!!! (and rising… the dough.)

This beautiful wedding marked many “firsts” in my wedding photography career: Taken’s first Jewish ceremony, first sunset outside wedding, first Forsyth wedding, and lastly first wedding with Simply Savannah Events. The evening was breathtaking. Yliana was stunning and Nick was quite dashing. Overall the evening was too brief to absorb the grandeur of it all. So blessed that Yliana and Nick chose Taken to be their photographer to capture these once-in-a-lifetime images. A couple of weeks ago I had the sheer pleasure of crafting the cover image for Pooler Magazine of celebrity hairstylist, Dennis Stokely. Dennis knows his way around a studio set. Having been on more shoots than I could count I was schooled people – schooled! Though I was the master mind behind the lighting and scene, Dennis took lead on the camera angle and pose.
