When picking out a wedding dress, not only would I want sweet ladies helping me but I also want a lady that with impeccable taste. At La’ren Belle I find both.
Stephanie Lopez, the owner of La’ren Belle, is really one of the sweetest ladies I know. I knew Stephanie in high school – we were in English together. She was pretty, smart, and sweet (you’re gonna see that word a lot in this post). She was one of those girls that never judged nor did I ever hear a critical thing come from her. I didn’t get the pleasure of getting to know her well, but from the our limited interactions I knew she was sweet to core.
Fast forward 9 odd years and I saw her wedding published in a local magazine. I was happy for her. LIke, generally happy – I mean, who couldn’t be happy for the sweeties girl in the world?! Then I heard she opened a Bridal Boutique. Admiration overflowed along with high hopes for her new venture. Again, I literally haven’t seen her in 10 years, and prior to that time we hardly spoke; Stephanie’s sweet nature inspires positivity in people. I love it.
So when I reached out to La’ren Belle, it was no surprise that Stephanie would be welcoming and encouraging. I’m very blessed to be building a close relationship with them. And a big BIG thank you to Kristal, who has been one of main Savannah supporters, and is one of Stephanie’s associates and friend. Also, Kristal is one of the most stylish people I know.
Stephanie answered a couple of questions for me:
How did you come up with name, “La’ren Belle?”
Everyone asks me this! It’s funny because I randomly came up with the name La’ren Belle one day when I was doodling possible boutique names. I wanted something southern but classy sounding, and La’ren Belle was what I came up with!
What inspired you to start a bridal boutique?
I got married last year and I absolutely loved the process of finding the perfect gown! It was so much fun trying on all the different styles! The only problem was that Savannah only has 3 bridal shops! So I decided to open a bridal shop to give brides in Savannah another option and bring new designers to the Savannah area.
What is your favorite part of your service?
My favorite is seeing our brides faces light up when they know they have found the perfect dress. It’s the best feeling when you know you’ve helped a bride find the gown of her dreams!
What is something you wish you could tell a bride before she starts looking for her dream dress?
I would tell every bride to experiment! Try on lots of different styles to figure out what looks best on you.
What is the thing you see Brides most stressed about when buying a wedding dress? What’s your response to it?
Sometimes brides get confused when they bring a lot of family and friends to their appointment and everyone has a different idea of what the bride should wear. I always tell my brides to remember that this is THEIR dress, and they should choose the one that they love and gives them that “I’m a beautiful bride” feeling:)
What, do you hope, your future holds?
My hope is that La’ren Belle becomes the go-to boutique for brides in Savannah who are looking for a fabulous yet affordable bridal gown!
Who are your favorite designers and why?
One of our favorite designers is Martina Liana. Brides who are looking for a modern but elegant gown love this line! ( Martinaliana.com ).
Watters is another one of our favorite designers. The gowns are perfect for brides looking for a fun southern gown. ( Watters.com ).
The details of these dresses are beautiful! I got the chance to visit La’ren Belle to take some pics of the beautiful dresses. I’ll share detailed shots of my favs later this week.
Thanks Stephanie and Kristal for your time! I enjoyed getting to know you and your service :)
