Because I believe Hope saves.
I’m taken with Hope. Hope for those that suffer. Hope for those don’t have. Hope for the hungry. Hope for the lost. Sounds cliche, but that’s because needs don’t ever go away. A different person, a different day, but the same need – Hope.
A decade or so ago I was so lost, heartbroken, searching. I gave everything I had to be loved; to stand out. Used and left – hurting – was the result. Then my brother stepped in and introduced me to the real Jesus, not the Jesus I thought I knew – the one that was all about rules, ego, and money-hungry. For the first time I learned about acceptance of who I was, where I was. I didn’t have to be or do anything else to be loved.
This new heartbeat has carried me through countless fires and inspires me to love like Him who loves me. Because of this I search for a non-profit organization to partner with that loves like Him too. Hope for Savannah is that organization.
Hope for Savannah exists to provide comfort and support for to cancer patients and their families. Kim Osborne, the founder of Hope for Savannah, has first hand experience of cancer, out of which spurred her to start Hope for Savannah.
On August 6, Taken and Hope for Savannah are partnering together to bring you, Taken with Hope – a day of mini portrait sessions, where all the profits go directly to help Hope for Savannah. Your portrait investment may be used to provide gas cards for parents to travel back and forth to dr. appts. It could help establish a web-site where worried parents can search for easy “how-to’s” to understand and complete complicated medical forms. Your investment will certainly touch hearts, calm fears, and provide smiles.
